Faster Knee Recovery with ANSHI: Tips to Heal ACL & Meniscus Quickly and Safely

PSA: Some content or images in this blog are graphic and unsettling.

I lost the ability to walk on August 8, 2024. Fast forward to today, and I am just a few weeks away from reaching four months post-op. I had bilateral knee injuries that started from a skiing ACL tear and snowballed into double ACL and meniscus tears, along with a sprained MCL in my right knee. However, the way I tore the meniscus in my left knee required a bucket handle repair and emergency surgery. Unfortunately, knee injuries aren’t exactly considered “emergencies,” so I waited over 24 hours for a diagnostic MRI during my first ER visit. Then came two weeks of waiting for surgery, one week of which was spent entirely in the ER, wheelchair-bound.

What followed was a two-month stint in a wheelchair, wearing leg braces that locked my knees in place. To say I was shell-shocked is an understatement. I went from having full independence to being completely disabled, relying on full-time assistance and care. The revolving door of doctors, nurses, physical therapists, nutritionists, orthopedists, and psychiatrists left me mentally, emotionally, and physically drained. I sank into a depression I wouldn’t wish on anyone. There were daily tears, a few panic attacks, and moments I wanted to give up entirely.

But in those dark moments, the only way out was through. I eventually turned to gratitude because the alternative was to drown. Slowly but surely, I started swimming.

How ANSHI Became My Healing Game-Changer

I’ve been using and championing ANSHI since it was created in late 2018. Naturally, I wanted to reach for the Total Healing Turmeric Rub as soon as the pain began. But my doctors gave me strict orders: no topical products near my incisions until they had fully closed. Unfortunately, the braces I had to wear rubbed directly against a stubborn wound inside my knee, which took weeks to heal.

Finally, a few weeks ago, I started using ANSHI again—and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. After months of alternating between Tylenol and ibuprofen, I was ready to break free from oral pain meds. Prolonged NSAID use isn’t great for your body; as Johns Hopkins Medicine (2024) explains, “NSAIDs can cause irritation to the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and intestine.”

What surprised me most was how ANSHI Total Healing Turmeric Rub outperformed the oral medications I had been relying on for inflammation and pain relief. With 10 daily supplements already in my routine, the last thing I wanted was to keep ingesting more pills. Thanks to ANSHI, I’ve finally ditched the pain meds altogether.

How to Use ANSHI for Knee Injuries (or Anywhere Else!)

For acute injuries like mine, here’s how to maximize the benefits of ANSHI Total Healing Turmeric Rub:

  1. Apply Generously: Use 1 heaping tablespoon of the rub on the targeted area.
  2. Massage It In: Rub until the salt dissipates and the oil soaks into your skin. Don’t forget to cover the back of your knee or target area for 360-degree coverage.
  3. Wrap It Up: Use an ace bandage or old pajamas to catch any excess oil.
  4. Repeat Often: Apply 2–3 times daily, just as you would with oral painkillers.

Treating inflammation takes time, consistency, and care. Stick with this routine for two weeks, and I promise you’ll see a difference—or your money back, guaranteed.

Pro Tips for Faster Recovery

To further support healing, focus on increasing blood flow and draining inflammation toward your heart:

  • Start at the top of your thigh with a theragun or your hands to loosen the area.
  • Apply ANSHI from the bottom of your knee upward toward your heart.
  • Clear the pathways by opening up the upper thigh first, ensuring the inflammation doesn’t get stuck and return to the knee.

This simple yet powerful technique, taught to me by my physical therapist, is a game-changer for managing swelling and promoting recovery.

Another Amazing Tool...

An amazing device that I highly recommend (but it is quite expensive) is the NICE COLD + COMPRESSION THERAPY SYSTEM. They've found that "by combining the therapeutic benefits of cooling and compression in a single easy-to-use device, recovery times are greatly improved." You can rent it through most physical therapy places as a cheaper option. I ended up buying one since I have my right knee surgery coming up in a few months and I am still using it on my left knee to help fight inflammation. My favorite is to elevate my legs and then run the NICE machine on a 20-min-on-20-min-off cycle either overnight as I sleep or a couple times a day for maintenance.
